Season of Witchcraft
I have been playing Diablo IV since August 14, 2023. I will never forget the date because I turned on the game the next day upon returning to the United States from Barcelona. My best friend first showed me it before I left for the summer to Europe. He happened to choose a Barbarian. I have not really played on a console before. When I was younger I used to hang out in the arcade just like the kids in Stranger Things. I was completely clueless on how to use a console. I got a PlayStation 5 and had no idea how to use a controller either! I streamed Diablo IV Season 1 on Twitch and made many friends along the way. The Sanctuary has literally become a home I escape to and now have a supportive community on my Discord. I have come a long way from back then on my stream setup and gaming skills. Barbarian is still my favorite class. I continue to learn new things from the Diablo IV community and many amazing gamers. Each season I create a different milestone. I love this community in particular because most people are very friendly and there to help each other out – it’s not toxically competitive like other games. Although I am not the best player, my greatest joy is helping other players level up. I also love meeting new people and learning about cultures around the world. Last season, Blizzard implemented major changes to the game, such as adding a new class called the Spiritborn and changing max level to 300. My goal last season was to play the new class and get her to 300 – done! Then I decided to do something even crazier and attempted to do it in hardcore. Unfortunately, the highest I got was 260. However, I plan to grind this Barb to 300 as soon as possible!
