Velorum
Welcome to Velorum
You live in the celestial Kingdom of Velorum, aptly named after the Royal family that has ruled since its creation. The Velorum bloodline contains a special magic that is passed down through daughters only. Therefore, their tradition has always been to name the eldest daughter heir to the throne. Velorum is known for its production of a rare mineral called V390 that is mined in the town of Avior. The Royal family employs the Master Blacksmith to create vials of V390 which can only be used by them due to its powerful magical properties. Although the Royal family has some magical powers, they need the pure blood of a Sorceress to use the V390 dust to craft magic orbs for their various needs. The most powerful Sorceress in Velorum is Kala, who resides in the magical town of Nebula.
Queen Navis and King Argo had 2 daughters, the eldest Vela, born with the traditional celestial lavender hair and Carina, born with strange red locks. Although still beautiful, Carina was instantly considered an outcast. One day the Queen and King received word from a reliable informant that Carina was working with the Warlock Mira to create an orb of poison intended for Vela. Carina yearned to be heir to the throne and also harbored deep jealousy of Vela’s beauty, kindness and wisdom. Queen Navis had Mira and Princess Carina captured. As punishment, Mira was sent to the land of the Remnant, a horrible dark place crawling with demons. Princess Carina was disowned by the Royal family and banished to the town of Avior to oversee the miners. She was no longer royalty and had to live as a commoner.
Soon after Carina was banished, Queen Navis and King Argo mysteriously died in their sleep. Vela was crowned Queen and peacefully ruled Velorum. Afterwards she married Pyxis, a dashing Paladin that won her heart. As other worlds learned about the celestial V390, Velorum quickly became a target for invasion.
Desperate to protect her Kingdom, Queen Vela sought the help of her husband Pyxis and even her sister Carina. Vela felt sorry for Carina and had already forgiven her. She wanted to give Carina a chance to redeem herself by including her on a quest to obtain the Rod of Rulership which draws its powers from a person’s will instead of V390. Vela wanted to use it to provide a protection shield over Velorum. Little did she know, Carina would seduce Pyxis and turn him against Vela so they both would come into power and use the Rod for their own selfish needs.
As the trio made their way to Nebula, Carina and Pyxis tricked Vela to come to the WASP, an indestructible, magic imbued prison set in place by the great elders and guarded by Suhail, a Wizard. Suhail tried his hardest to stop them but was greatly defeated by the powers of Carina, Pyxis, and Mira. After Suhail came under Carina’s control, they were able to lock Vela into a crystal prison with added spells cast by Mira.
Carina and Pyxis returned to the royal palace Gacrux, located in the capitol Pulsar, to rule. Carina used magic orbs to bring down the barrier of the Remnants and recruited a team of monsters to oversee the miners in Avior. Instead of paying the miners fair wages, she made them work day and night for minimal wages with just enough to survive.
The people of Velorum were enraged and wanted to free Queen Vela, but Carina placed spies everywhere. If anyone were to try to save Vela, they would be captured and killed or imprisoned in the WASP.
As Velorum slowly eroded and became an easier target for invaders, a few brave Velorums decided to take matters into their own hands. Hence, the adventure begins…
